Patience

Do you ever get that feeling that things are going to fall into place? That your life is finally taking that turn so that it goes the way you’ve mapped out in your head?

I’ve got that feeling about 2013.

Other than Irelyn starting kindergarten and Flynn’s birth, 2012 was an uneventful year for us. Things happened, but mostly it was life as usual.

2010 was our tough year.

This year I kind of chose a word to represent 2013: Patience.

I need to make sure I have more patience when it comes to parenting. I need to practice patience and not let messes and curious kids upset me.

I (we) need to get better about saving money. We need to practice patience and build a rainy day fund.

I must remember to have…
Patience to finish school.
Patience when it comes to buying a new home.
Patience when it comes to my writing.
Patience when I’m trying new things.
Patience to stop and savor the little moments.
Patience to trust that gut feeling about everything falling into place.

Everything will happen when the time is right.

Here’s hoping that 2013 brings you joy and patience. Let’s make this year awesome, friends.

PS: I totally wrote this post on my iPhone using the WordPress app. I haven’t been able to get on the computer much lately.
