Good morning everyone! Today we have Nay from Cover to Cover and Everything in Between guest posting for us. Nay is awesome because she’s a writer at heart, a book lover and just a wonderful person in general. We’re swapping blogs today and talking a little bit about some Irish stuff in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

I am so very happy to be able to spend some time over here today.

Hi!
How are you?!
I was thinking long and hard about what to write today on Ms. Lacey’s bloggy…
Would I tell you how it is that I am 1/4 Irish?
Would I tell you that I’ve never had corned beef and cabbage?
Would I tell you that I always wear green on St. Patrick’s Day because I don’t dare get pinched?
Would I tell you that I’ve always wanted to try green beer?
Nah…

But I did find this a few month’s back and loved that it was an Irish proverb…

It made me feel proud of my wee little Irish roots.
I’m a writer at heart and have always thought the Irish had a wonderful way with words…

I wore one of these for a long time when I was single.
I had heard that if you wore it with the crown facing out that it meant you were single…
…then when you were married or in a committed relationship you switched it.
I don’t know if it’s true…

But
when my then boyfriend (now my hubby) bought me one after I told him about the little ritual of it all
He placed it on my finger with the crown facing me and told me that it was his promise to me
…that the ring was showed everyone the beginning of our forever…
Wow, huh?
Yeah, I liked him a lot more after that!
So I may not have ever had that cabbage dish or tasted green beer,
but the Irish in me can do one thing…
I can tell you…
